I am researching the place of rest in the Christian tradition. In particular, my work focuses on the significance of rest in the theology of Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, John Calvin, and Karl Barth. I consider how human rest is related to divine rest, the diverse ways in which rest is tied to eschatology, and how ‘spiritual’ senses of rest are related to more common, ‘earthy’ senses of rest.
