Research Interests: Christian’s research focuses on the doctrine of God in the Reformed tradition, with a particular eye to the 17th century Reformed Orthodox theologians of the European continent. Currently, Christian is examining the systematic correlation of divine being and act in the theology of Petrus van Mastricht in conversation with the proposals of several recent Barthian theologians. More broadly, Christian’s interests lie in Christian dogmatics (especially the doctrines of God, Christ, and creation) and their expression in medieval and modern theologies.
